Knavesmire 12 June
Another great turnout with 35 representing the club. Weather much better than Easingwold and with the flat course we had 16 PBs with another 7 running a seasons best. The Mens A team excelled with 7 runners under 40 minutes enough to squeeze out York Acorn and take 2nd on the night and reinforce their 3rd overall. Not to be outdone, the Ladies also took 2nd ahead of Acorn and have maintained their 2nd overall standing.

Easingwold 29 May
Well done to Richard and his team for a well run event and thanks to the Galtres Centre and Galtres Timber for their support. A warm and humid evening making the challenging route even harder. 255 took part and despite organising the event, 41 from the club finished the event. With good performance from both teams; the Mens A team were 3rd and the Ladies A 2nd with both holding those positions overall in best 2 from 3.

Tadcaster 15 May
Another great turnout with 36 taking on Windmill Hill. Still the second best represented club. Both teams dropped a place to 4th and 3rd on this event but are both 3rd after two events.

Pocklington 1 May
A great turnout with 35 club members starting the event, and the second best represented club. The Mens team were 3rd and the Ladies 2nd.

Race HQ - Galtres Centre, Market Place Easingwold.
Parking - Ample in front and rear of Galtres Centre or on the Market square. Additional parking at the heath centre to the rear of the Galtres.
Toilets - Due to cutbacks the toilets in the Market Square close at 6 pm. We are investigating the possibility of keeping them open until 7.30pm. Toilets in the Market Square will be kept open. There are toilets in the Galtres Centre. There are NO toilets at/near the start.
The Start - On Copperclay Walk. This is a 10 minute brisk walk from the Market Place/Galtres Centre. You should have left this area by 7.15 at the latest if you want to make the start! Route to the start - see Town Plan
Finish - In the Memorial Park next to the Galtres Centre. The bar at the Galtres will be open.
Route - See Road Race League website for the route. Keep to the left for the first 4 KM. Cross to the right before the short steep climb to Crayke (cross at arrow). Stay to the right up and over Crayke and all the way down the hill to the right turn into the narrow Daffy lane at 5.5 KM; drinks ahead. Beware of the uneven surface and a few potholes on Daffy Lane. Return to the left side of the road on rejoining the Crayke - Easingwold Road at 7.5 KM and stay on the left to finish. Keep a bit of energy to look good for the run throught the Market Place! The finish is just round the corner in the park.
