Taster sessions

If you are interested in attending our taster sessions please arrive at the Galtres Centre at 6.30pm on the first night for an introductory briefing session (1st May).    As a guideline you should be able to run continuously for around 30 minutes at a steady pace of 10-12 minute miles with the aim to build up to 40-45 mins of running.  However, we welcome a range of running abilities and if you on the other end of the spectrum and are already a competent runner but would like an incentive to improve further, we have members of the club who regularly run 36 minutes for a 10k


What’s happening, week by week:

May 1st  Week 1 – Crankley Lane circuit: A choice of three runs covering between 3 and 6 miles to the West of Easingwold.

May 8th  Week 2 – Out and Back: Two groups heading North for a fixed time before turning and returning via the same route. The quicker runners will cover around 6-7 miles the steadier, around 3-4 miles.

May 15th  Week 3 – Away evening at Myton. A chance to run both on and off road around Myton. Meeting afterwards at a local hostelry.

May 22nd  Week 4 – Circuits – A chance to try one of our exercises around Easingwold.
