ERC Championship
Open to all fully paid up members of Easingwold Running Club, The Championship runs from September to September each year. There are 16 events with a maximum of 8 to count. There is one Championship table only as results are adjusted for both age and gender.


 York and District Road Race League

A series of 6 races for affiliated clubs in the area. Held fortnightly on a Tuesday evening between late April/early May to July culminating in a handicap race, supper and presentation evening. A very popular series with around 350-400 runners for each event from the twelve participating clubs. Easingwold hosts one of the rounds. The league finishes with a handicap race and presentation evening at Bishopthorpe.

George Becton Handicap Trophy

A two race event held over consecutive Thursday club nights in August on our 5 K course. Race one is a scratch event and after seeding from that event, a handicap race is run the following week with the winner becoming the George Becton champion for the year.

Manoochehr Cup Cross Country

This March x-country run is growing in popularity partly due to the bacon butties after the event!
Based in Millfields Park, originally two route of under 6.5KM and 4.5 KM using the park, the adjoining woods, and permissive tracks round nearby fields. For 2018 a new circuit of 2.5 K in Millfields Park and the adjoining woodland. Two race of 2 laps and 4 laps, the longer route for the Manoochehr Cup.

Swaledale Marathon

 A challenging but rewarding event centered round the town of Reeth, deep in the Swaledale valley. 23 miles and over 4000 feet of climb in stunning Swaledale scenery, you have 10 hours to navigate the route. Run in June but entries are on line in January and fill within a few hours! ERC were winners of the Team award in 2008. A group of around 30 will tackle the event in 2018

Local 10 Ks supported by Easingwold Running Club

Traditional last round of our Club Championship run in early September. An undulating course based around the village green and duck pond of Tholthorpe Also chosen for the beginners group 10 K final event. Around 60 club members and beginners ran in 2010 with over 40 regularly competing each year.
Sutton Park
Formerly the Sutton 7, the new 10 K route is still predominantly a tarmac event but has some mixed terrain passing through Sutton Park.
Organised by some of our club members it is usually the 1st Round of our Club Championship in late September.

  London Marathon
For many, the only marathon to do. The club usually has one or two club entries for this oversubscribed event.

Great Langdale St Georges Day 10 K

Run as part of our Lake District weekend away in April, club members stay in  local B & B's or Youth Hostel and enjoy the delights of Lake District hospitality. The 10 K route is an undulating one from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel along the road to Elterwater and back. Remarkably, considering the condition of the runners we have won the team event several times, the ladies in 2007 and men in 2008 and both in 2009 and 2010.
