Club Championship 2011

vents for the 2011 series are listed below. They will be added to through the season. We will retain many of the events that have proved popular over the years whilst considering events that have been enjoyed by members outside previous Championships or have not been used for a year or two. Entry forms are usually in the Club File or via the links below. These are popular events and fill quickly so don't delay in entering. Some events are also in The York & District Road Race League (RRL) or part of the Black Sheep Series (BSS).

Rounds

Round 1: Sun 26th September 2010 - Sutton Park 10 K. Previously the Sutton 7, now shortened to a 10K, it included a section on tracks through Sutton Park. A fast, flat very local course. Sutton Park 10 K info and entry forms

Round 2: Sun 3rd October - Foston & Thornton-le-Clay 10 K. Organised by our own Richard Harrison. Another local event situated close to Castle Howard. See Foston and Thornton-le Clay 10 K for entry forms and full details. Entry Forms also from UK Results

Round 3: Sun 31 October - Guy Fawkes 10, Ripley Castle Entry forms from UK Results

Round 4: Sun 22 November - Leeds Abby Dash. Entries only available on line through Age UK. Entry forms The event is very popular so enter ASAP.

Round 5: Sun 29 November - Thirsk 10 M. Good course for a 10 M PB as it is fast and flat if a little boring for some. Entry forms Postponed due to snow - Now on March 27th 2011

Round 6: Sun 23 January 2009 - Brass Monkey half marathon. This popular event usually fills very quickly. Electonic entry only via website. See http://www.yorkknavesmireharriers.co.uk/brassmonkey.htm for details. FULL

Round 7: Sun 27 February - Snake Lane 10. Another event that will fill quickly, i.e. within a week or two! Entry forms from 1 Oct via http://www.pockrunners.com/ or UK Results. FULL

Round 8: Sun 3 April - Arkendale 10 K. Undulating country course over a mixture of on and off road.

Round 9: Tues 3 May - Pocklington 10 K. Road Race League Round 1.

Round 10: Tues 17 May - Tadcaster 10 K. Road Race League Round 2.

Round 11: Tues 31 May - Easingwold 10 K. Road Race League Round 3.

Round 12: Tues 14 June - York Knavesmire 10 K. Road Race League Round 4.

Round 13: Tues 28 June - Bishop Wilton 10 K. Road Race League Round 5.

Round 14: Tues 12 July -Selby 10 K. Road Race League Round 6.

Round 15: Sun 21 August - Escrick 10 K. Flat course over a mixture of tarmac and tracks. Limited entry so apply ASAP.

Round 16: Sun 4 September - Tholthorpe 10 K. Traditional end of season event. A couple of hills, at the start and 8 k otherwise fairly flat.
